Green Tea Leaf

Green tea is produced from the plant called Camellia sinensis. It has some health effects. Green tea leaf decreases the absorption of iron. Drinking too much of green tea can be fatal (10-14 grams of caffeine in green tea). Serious toxicity can also occur. However, caffeine is safe in children if taken in amounts found in foods. Pregnant and breast-feeding women are advised to drink green tea in small amounts only (no more than 2 cups a day). It's about 200 mg of caffeine. More caffeine can increase the risk of negative effects on infant including miscarriage. Caffeine can be found in breast milk so it's advised to drink a small amount of green tea.
